Discover our expert advice to choose a shower door that matches the layout of your home but also that allows you to save space in your bathroom ...
In order to meet the space requirements of bathrooms, there are different types of doors for walls and shower cubicles. Folding and sliding openings are ideal if you want to save space. The door does not impinge on the outside and thus facilitates the layout of the room.
For showers placed in a corner, angled sliding models are perfect. The central space is well released and access facilitated. Some corner models are even rounded (quarter circle) and thus adapt to the shape of the receiver. The advantage? There too, more free space in the middle of the bathroom. The passage will be wider and comfortable with swinging and swinging openings. The former are mounted on hinges located above the wall, while the latter operate on pivots slightly offset towards the inside of the wall.
Finally, for added security, swing and swing doors must open outwards. It is therefore essential to have enough space in front of the receiver so as not to hinder the movement. If this is not the case, a folding pivot model is a solution.
